We are Traveling Tails & Ragamuffin Rescue, a certified 501c3 non-profit animal rescue. Our mission is to help cats and dogs find foster and adoptive homes.
We are based in the Utica (CNY) area and the Albany area (Capital Region) of Upstate New York.
Our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, donations, and a lot of caffeine!

This energetic, sweet girl is urgently looking for a new foster home. She was found running down a highway in CT and found her way our rescue.
She is looking for a home with no other pets and an active lifestyle.
The rescue pays for all medical expenses, provides a starter package, and offers regular behavior support. Fill out our foster app here.

Our rescue is funded entirely by donations from caring people like you. While we get many requests to help pets in our community, we can only take in as many as we can afford to care for. 89% of our budget goes directly towards veterinary care. Your support helps us say 'yes' to saving more pets in need.
In-kind donations (food, litter, toys, blankets, beds, crates, bowls, etc) are very welcome!

Puppies (up to 1 year): $300
Adult Dogs (over 1 year) > 25 pounds : $150-170
Adult Dogs (over 1 year) < 25 pounds : $175-200
Kittens: $100-120
Double Kittens: $175-200
Adult Cats (over 1 year): $80-100
Double Adult Cats: $120-180
We are a foster-based rescue, which means all our pets live in volunteer homes rather than a shelter facility. Foster families open their home to care for pets while we search for their new families.
In a home setting, pets can relax, learn daily routines, and show their true personalities - giving us valuable insights that help match them with potential adopters.
