Thank you for considering adopting from our rescue! We believe every pet deserves a loving home, and we're committed to finding good matches for our cats and dogs. As a foster-based organization, our pets live in temporary homes rather than a central facility. This means adopters can't simply stop by to see all available animals. Meet and greets with pets can be scheduled upon request. See our policies for more info.
We do our best to ensure our pets go to good homes through our thoughtful adoption process outlined below.
Our adoption process helps match pets with their families. After submitting your cat or dog application, we contact references, and schedule a virtual or in-person home visit. We encourage virtual or in-person meet and greets with your potential new companion.
Once everything is approved, we celebrate as your new furry friend officially becomes part of your family!
Out of State adoptions are possible for the right match but dependent on transport capabilities.
At this time our adoptions are limited to applicants who are 18 or older.
Virtual meet & greets are available for applicants without an application*
In-person meet & greets are available for applicants with an application*
We require adopters' pets to be up to date on their rabies vaccine as per NYS law and highly encourage additional vaccinations.

By adopting, you're not just gaining a loving companion—your adoption donation helps us continue our mission to save more pets in need. Nearly 90% of our budget goes to cover vet fees for our foster pets.

FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and is found in cats worldwide. It is not transferable to dogs or humans. We ensure all our cats are tested for FIV before they join their new families. There is no cure for FIV but it is manageable; cats can live full, healthy, and happy lives when cared for appropriately. FIV+ cats should be kept indoors, receive routine veterinary care, and not consume raw meat or animal food products. Learn more.
Feline Leukemia Virus is a common infectious disease in cats with no known cure. Luckily, risk of infection can be reduced with the FeLV vaccine. We highly encourage the vaccine for most cats but especially for any cats who spends time outdoors. All cats without previous testing are screened for FeLV prior to adoption. Some cats with FeLV live normal lives for prolonged periods but those with progressive FeLV are at risk of developing complications. Learn more.
